Blessings....

So I've been kinda down in the dumps the past week or so. I'm not sure why, but I guess the yucky weather last week, time of year (ready for JUNE!), my arm, Ellie's surgery, job hunting, I could go on...

But, really, I am so blessed and have so much to be thankful for. I was reading a post by Kelly at Kelly's Korner today..awesome woman...and it got me thinking. I should be counting my blessings. And that was what she did today.
So here are mine:

Blessing: Sam and I both are in a profession that we love, provides well, and is family centered (most of the time). I truly love my job. I am also lucky to be where I'm at and have the opportunity to go back to get my master's.

Blessing: My wonderful husband Sam. I never thought I'd meet such a wonderful, caring, loving person that makes me laugh as much as he does.

Blessing: These two little rascals. They just warm my heart every day.


Blessing: My wonderful family...my parents are supportive, loyal, always there. I am so very lucky.My siblings aren't half bad either! Great friends as well as my brother and sister.
Blessing: My wonderful friends. I know they're always there if needed or just to talk. I have lots of acquaintances, but few really close friends. But, those close ones are wonderful and I can always count on them.

Blessing: my wonderful king bed. Seriously. Until you've slept on one of these you don't know what you're missing.

Blessing: and last, but not least these babies.

It's been a great day. Sam had a meet today and I got to sleep late. It was wonderful. I haven't been sleeping too well with my broken limb. Picked up the house a little bit, drank too much coffee, and watched hgtv. Good morning.

Today was Wendie's baby shower. She looks so cute. Fabulous cake there too... I love cake and frosting! Here's the diaper cake I, or Sam mostly, made last night. I meant to make it last weekend, but procrastinated and had to make it one armed last night. Bless Sam's heart...he rolled all those diapers up and put the tiers together.

Our new furniture came in this afternoon, too! We're going to get a bench for the other side of the table and a rug underneath. The table has another leaf (is that what it's called?) that we can put in. The chair is a recliner/glider. The leather smells so good.

We're heading to a friend's house tonight for hamburgers. It's been a pretty good day...despite my fingers on my broken arm looking like sausages.

one handed typing...

Well, decided I'd join the blogging world. Today is a great day to start since I'm at home with a broken arm. Not exactly easy to type, but I'm getting used to it.

I'm heading back to school tomorrow, even though it's for one day...I'm slightly bored and hate leaving my kids with a sub. Thank the Lord next week is Spring Break.



We're celebrating our one year anniversary next week! I'm amazed at how quickly this year has gone by. 2008 was a wonderful, but hectic (married, house, internship, graduation, new jobs) year and I'm glad it's over. So far, 2009 has been pretty calm. It's nice to just enjoy being married.
